A Fairyland Cake and Enchanted Forest Kids Birthday Party

Last week, my daughter celebrated her 7th birthday with a magical fairyland / enchanted forest themed party. The cake obviously played a central role: a two-tier chocolate cake filled with strawberry compote and cream cheese buttercream. I decorated it with fondant elements such as a tiny door to fairyland, pastel flowers, and little mushrooms.

The kids also had a great time creating whimsical macramé wall art using dried flowers, and of course they loved the cake. We asked them to come dressed up as fairies, and it was beyond cute to see them dancing in the living room with their dresses and wings.

The enchanted forest birthday party and the fairyland cake were a big hit!
