It’s been an amazing first half of the year for my little cake business – I baked more cakes than I would ever have expected to, and your feedback has truly made me a very happy baker. 

I am taking July off to spend the month with my family. I will be back in August and do have capacity for wedding cakes, birthday cakes, corporate cakes, gender reveal cakes and any cakes you wish for!

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of baking a royal-inspired cake for a cake picnic hosted by Tiny Chairs. Together with a handful of talented bakers, we created a beautiful cake buffet inspired by the theme "Royal Cakes" at Prins Bertil's Boule Hall on Djurgården.

For the occasion, I made a vintage-style square cake decorated in a deep ruby red with plenty of shimmering ruby glitter. The bottom tier was a classic Black Forest cake—which turned out to be a huge hit! I had no idea so many people loved Black Forest cake so much. The top tier was a coffee cake filled with a vanilla espresso cream, my personal favourite!

It was the last day of school in many Swedish schools today, including ours, and to celebrate the “skolavslutning”, I made mini cakes for our teachers as well as cupcakes and cake pops for the students.

Last weekend, I created a custom cake that I had been wanting to make for a while: a mermaid-themed birthday cake for a 4-year-old girl. The customer requested a two-tier cake (30 servings), which I decorated in pastel shades of blue, purple, and pink. I added the birthday girl's name and continued decorating the cake with fondant shells and mermaid tails, which I had prepared a few days earlier and allowed to dry and harden properly. Finally, I finished the design with pearls, a touch of edible gold dust, and a number 4 candle.
