Trend cake 2026: square cakes

You may have seen them on Instagram or TikTok: Square cakes are one of the biggest cake trends of 2026. At Sophie Marie Cakes, we offer custom-made square cakes in a variety of designs, colours, and sizes.

They can be made as single-tier cakes serving up to 20 people, or as two-tier cakes if you’re celebrating with a larger group. Below are some of the square cakes I have created over the past few months – as you can see, the possibilities are many. From vintage-inspired designs and flower-decorated cakes to cakes covered in fresh fruit, each one can be customised to suit your preferences.
